Something's hijacking my browser, I get p0rn redirections, I tried d/l Adaware and scanned using both that and avast while in safe mode to no avail.
So, I figure I can spend another month or so trying to find out what de fvck is going on while downloading sh!tloads of antispyware/malware/antivir etc. software which is sort of difficult as it is, since it won't let my browser open sites with any of the above mentioned in them... :|
Putting the foul language aside for a moment... Now that I have to reinstall windows, what do I do with iTunes, so it doesn't mess up my iPod? And is there any license limitation, like does it count as if I install it on another computer or whatever...?

See, now I'm in a quandry.
I could have left this thread to die in the wrong forum, or I could post here to tell you that you're in the wrong forum and by doing so, bump it.

I had to flip a coin. Wrong forum!

open itunes.. and tehn click on de authorize computer (one of the menus).. and then back up your music.. and stuff

that way you wont be having multiple authorizations to worry about for paid music.

Identify what has taken over your computer and remove it. Get HijackThis for starters. Also try running the scanners in normal mode instead of safe mode unless it just won't run in normal mode.

did you try deleting your host file? viruse and malware often target that file and modify it to block access to know anti-malware sites. deleting it might solve that problem. windows will simply generate a new one. as for you ipod, first disable the auto-sync. that will stop that from erasing your ipod. there's no point in trying to save your library file. just backup you music and then redetect it through iTunes. you might have to restore you ipod. it depends. if you didn't change anything, then it might let u. the iPod doesn't let more then one computer sync with it in order to curb piracy. but if you restore it, it'll work on any computer you choose but only on that one.

And in short, you've just encountered yet another one of many many many reasons why DRM sucks for the consumer. Now stop buying DRM junk and you won't face those issues.

ok, now what's the host file? like where do I find it and stuff...
And about the iPod not sync'ing with a different computer, does that mean that after reinstall I won't be able to update play list at all (ever), or I would 'just' need to format my iPod as well? (Either case is really great news, thanks Apple!)
