4/24 UPDATE!
I still haven't been able to detail my passat (it is currently in the shop w/ bad coil pack(s)). However, the B5 S4 wheels are now fixed and in silver, and damn they look way better
The group
Fully repaired (compare to first and third "this" pictures)
Closeup 1 - you can barely tell it was previously damaged. Not quite a perfect fix
Closeup #2
I also didn't have a camera available during the repairing, so just go with the audiworld guide and apply to the whole wheel if need be
4/14 UPDATE!
I finally got a chance to switch out wheels (the 17's were almost out of tread) so I have some 15's on now. Smaller, but still actually pretty good looking
Side shot
Front ~1/2(?) shot
Wheel shot
weather permitting, I'll be able to start fixing the 17's this week (thanks to Maryland's craptacular weather forecast, I will forgo cleaning this weekend
) I'll post a complete adapted guide for wheel scuff repair and repainting (original audiworld guide linked here)
So if your wheels happen to looking something like this, this, or this, my guide (or the audi guide) will be able to help you out
4/8
So I'm going to full detail my car, finally. So far I've cleaned and repaired one set of wheels but I have another set (plus the car) to go. Here are the before pics, and hopefully by the end of the week I will have found the time to do a full detail and upload some after pics
As a warning to 56k users, these pics are 1600x1200
Before:
Front
front ~3/4
Side Shot
Rear
Rear ~3/4
Over the Top
B5 S4 graphite/gunmetal wheel (I'm going to repaint it silver)
It's going to look 1000000x better when I'm done.. can't wait
