Moving to Tampa, need suggestions on inexpensive locations to live OUTSIDE of Tampa, and what kind of IT/Software job market there is down there for a C/C++ programmer.

As far as housing, we're a family of 5, so if someone can give me ideas on decent neighborhoods for 3br places, I'd appreciate it.

I'll be moving the last week of July.

don't know tampa, im east in fort lauderdale.. however, i hope you like blistering heat and high humidity, sweating by the time you get inside your car, etc. 🙂

 

Maybe you should do more research before moving so quickly, the job market isnt what it was. Traffic there is a PITA btw, indian rocks beach is a great place to look however.

I don't.

But I'm sure it beats shovelling 5 feel of snow out of your driveway daily and sweating by the time you get inside your car.
