i had spinal surgery (L-spine) the end of last year and have healed ok considering other neurological issues i have - can't complain. i live in AZ and it is not very cold, so it is not like i am from AK or some other place that is crazy cold.
i use to be able to wear shorts year round, but since this year (i really don't count or remember last winter as i was in a drugged fog as i recovered for the first couple months) i am freezing my ass off. i sit here, heater on in the condo, t-shirt, sweatshirt and then a "hoodie" - they kind made from sweatshirt material, along w/ sweatpants, socks and slippers and every once in a while i will put on a "beanie" cap - the thick wool kind. i am not too far from putting on even heavier clothing just to stay comfortable.....
at night i sleep in t-shirt, sweatshirt and the "hoodie" along w/ sweatpants, socks and slippers and then a blanket and down comforter and freeze to the point that i wake up. sadly if i have the heater too hot i wake up due to the extremely dry air...
anybody else w/ back surgery have this issue of feeling cold all the time? this is getting real old having never really been cold in my life. it is like now i am cold to the core
and the condo stays ~70-72F in the winter
