feelings of possession when im half awake

hard to explain it but ill try.

when im taking a nap, i could feel myself drifting from conscieness to unconscience. at this point im half awake, half asleep. during this time, i feel my body tense up, and i hear this terrifying internal noise. this last for around 5 seconds, and i am unable to move my body, or speak. i force myself to scream, or move my legs, but nothing happens. after 5 seconds it goes away, and i gain my ability to speak and move and im conscouse. after liek 10 seconds later, when i drift off to sleep again, i get that feeling again. this may happen a couple more times before i am able to drift to sleep completely.

the internal noise i hear is very similiar to when you yawn, that internal sound you hear. thats what i hear except its about 3 times louder. this usually only happens when i take a nap during the afternoon or evenings, and rarely when i sleep at night. anyone else get this?

Odd. I experience some strange type of sleep paralysis sometimes, but never accompanied by an internal noise. It's like I'm semi-concious but can't move my body. It's a real struggle to get myself awake - it's a very odd and scary feeling.

Edit: ^^ above has link to info.

Wierd. I've had nightmares that seemed to continue(ghostly moaning continued after waking) once regaining consciousness, then the nightmare just continues if I drift back to sleep. This sorta sounds familiar, though I'm not paralyzed when this happens, just so tired that I want to go back to sleep ASAP.
