Are you a light weight or an attention whore?

I'm definitely a lightweight lately, can't drink as much as I used to be able to, even though I'm only 18. I drank quite a bit though....eating definitely helped now. Feel great. 🙂

EDIT : Figure I should note that I was drinking Whiskey on an empty stomach for about, 3-4 hours straight. -_-

Same here. I am on to beer now though. Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. I am waiting for the wife to make dinner so I can eat, grab a couple of beers and get in the hot tub.
EDIT
Maybe the difference is that I was dring good whisky.
😉

Why?

In reference to what? The lack of ability partaking to my drinking, or drinking whiskey on an empty stomach.

First, I'm not entirely sure. I'd probably attribute it to my getting alcohol posioning my first time drinking. Had 14 beers, 6-7 shots of Ameretto and Yukon Jack, about, 1-2 screw drivers and some weed. I stopped doing drugs when I moved, and I'm better for it.

As for drinking Whiskey on an empty stomach...well, I guess it wasn't the best decision, but I hadn't planned on drinking a lot. I guess I just need to learn to pace myself.

I can feel, at this pace, that I'll probably end up being the designated driver. I don't really like drinking, but you wouldn't notice that once I've started. I suppose I'm better when I drink with friends; it's something to keep my mind off things.

But overall, being sober isn't terribly bad.

i read somewhere that eggs are good for hangovers. this would explain why egg mcmuffins are so damn tasty & great when you're hangin'

I feel you should always eat while your drinking. It's easier on the system, let's your drink more, and encourages your to space out your drinking. Also, straight wiskey is not really the best thing to be drinking for a long period of time, due to the cost if nothing else.

Makes sense. In the future, I'll start eating before, during and after drinking. Also, I hear switching from alcohol to water and other non-alcoholic drinks helps, so I'll try to do that too.

I think the best thing to do is alternate water/booze/water/booze because most of being hungover is from being dehydrated.

I'm the same way. That's why I usually avoid threads with more than 30 posts, as to not repeat or feel stupid. 🙁

So I'm not the only one who does that?

Had about 10 drinks in 45 minutes on an empty stomach (hadn't eaten anything solid for at least 6 hours), and got a GREAT buzz going late nite on a sick roadtrip to NYC with 4 good friends 😀
