Ok if you would all give me your feedback and response on this little matter of mine. I?m sure most of you know I work in a retail sales kiosk. I?m a manager at one of our locations. Basically for this week all of the managers who normally stay in one kiosk have to rotate to another location. I went to the crappiest location that anyone could possibly be at. The other managers could have gone here but they put me here. I guess I?m just getting the crap end of the stick.

I guess the reason I?m all fussy over this is because at my location I have my computer MY way, I have my stacks of paper MY way, anything and everything MY way. And now I have go to another store where it is done everything another way. It?s just irritating that I have to go through this. At this job I?ve never once felt that I didn?t want to go into work in the morning. This morning I felt that dreaded feeling of wishing I didn?t have to go in. I?ve been at this company for well over a year and a half and I?ve never had that feeling ONCE.

I guess it?s not having my laser printer that I bought, not having Windows XP, not having everything that I put together nicely.

Am I wrong for feeling a bit irritated and upset that we have to go through this rotation?

The reason why they said we need to rotate is because they said customers need to see ?fresh faces?. I see absolutely no sense in that logic at all. They?re the same customers that come in day in and day out. They think we have NEW customers every single day. The majority of the customers that come and visit the store is regular customers that come every time they need something. They aren?t customers who come in everyday for something NEW! Its repeat customers coming back and back and back!!!!!!!!

I?m sooooooooooooo irritated right now!

Do you get to go back to your old location anytime soon?

Yeah that would suck if you got moved from your normal office/whatever enviroment to something crappy.

First of all, grow up.

Second, don't buy peripherals for your work computer with your own money.

Third, grow up.

It's just a job. You're not the president of IBM.

Get used to it.

But then again, you could always start your own sunglasses/perfume/sterling silver company.

How often do you have to rotate? If it's every few weeks that would suck. Your company is probably just trying to generate sales, when they realize this isn't going to work they will try something else silly out :)

Did he mention to grow up and get over it?

One of the signs of a really good employee is the ability to adapt to new people and situations.

We're hoping this is the last time. It was supposed to be two weeks but we got it down to one.

The Mods should really monitor registration for people like SmoochyTX.

Anyway, atleast you go back soon. Is this a rotation that is going to stick?

Angry - Not meaning to carp on the thread but yes, the last time I checked below I was a female. Born that way and will stay that way.

And regarding Kidd, I agree. That was the intention of the quote. Duh. 360 degrees = full circle. Maybe it's too late at night.

I disagree with Smoochy and anyone else that says you need to "grow up and get over it". I would be upset too.

Fresh faces my ass, that makes absolutely no sense.

Oh well, if it's only for a week.. I would put up with it I guess.

Open yourself up to the oppourtunity.... Who knows, if you change your outlook about it, there might be something beneficial you might get out of it.... Whether it be dealing with an adverse situation and making the best of it, you might meet someone new and interesting, or any number of things, look for something positive you might get out of it... Its only a week....

The ability to be flexible and make the best of things is a valuable asset, make the most of it...
