feel like your falling

this happens to me a lot when i go to bed at night. it seems to happen right before i'm about to actually fall asleep. i'll be laying there and all of a sudden i wake up because it feels like i'm falling out of my bed or something.

doesn't seem to be any particular way that i am laying on the bed or anything. its really weird and annoying.

Yeah, I've experienced that before. Assuming that it isn't a constant thing, you're probably fine. If it just popped up and is going on for weeks, then yeah, get your ears checked out.

its not constant, maybe a few times a week and its only once a night when it does happen.

Oh MAN! I hate that! That happens to me all the time, ever since I was little. I get that sudden "falling down the stairs" or "tripping off the curb" feeling and a violent jolt issues through my body. WTF causes that anyway? One night it happened like 6 times. I just gave up and stayed up playing video games all night.

Then it is probably the fact that you need to sleep earlier and stop staying up so late till your sense of balance gets cluttered.

This is normal. This tends to happen to people once or twice a month. If it occurs frequently, like multiple times per week, see a physician.

Psychology FTW.

This happens a lot to me.
I will feel that, jerk and twitch but then feel myself fall into a deep sleep.
