Thanks Raiden. I am OK, just need somewhere to vent I guess. I just want somewhere to post where people are going through similar situations and hopefully relate. I know th posts wouldn't go over to good here.

Thank you.

My advice would be to go out for a run, you'll get the "runner's high" (your brain releasing endorphins, which relieve pain and are natural feel-good chemicals).

Do you have any hobbies or activities that you enjoy or would like to try? Sometimes just having something fun or interesting planned for the next day can give you something to look forward to and help you get through the day (or in this case, night). Good stuff usually doesn't just happen to you, you have to make it happen.

I dont think hanging out on depression forums will help one bit. It'll put you in a downward spiral.

I think a huge portion of people in general, and specifically anandtech is "depressed" fairly often.

I agree. When I was in high school, thats what happened to me. I hung around some people that felt happy feeling depressed, and some of them were so melodramatic. Once I got away from them (although it took me about a year or two) I am now a lot happier and don't get down much, even when I hear bad news. I still talk to them and everything, but it feels better not being around people who are kinda downers (sorry if that sounds derogatory, its not meant to be) all the time.

There were a couple of people in high school who were really cheerful, and so when I was around them it was really nice. I miss them more than some of the people I hung around/talked to a lot because they just brightened your day seeing/talking to them. I've since learned to kind of be that type of person myself, which makes life a lot more enjoyable, even if its not going your way.

i agree on both counts.
i have been feeling mroe that way lately and it sucks. I love the holidays and they cheer me up but they also bring me down seeing as i feel alone to begin with.

I'd say try and arround yourself with ppl you care about, but sometimes some ppl prefer being alone, but give it a try.

dude, if you can find it, find that one thread about the dumb stuff people have done.

before i found that i wasn't in a very good mood but after reading through some of it, i was laughing so hard i was crying.
