Feedback on some flash photography please

So I got roped into doing a wedding here in a month or so, and I have almost no experience with my speedlight. Had a friend who agreed to model for me today. Please give me some feedback on the following pics. Everyone except the first one was taken with a the speedlight.

#1 - no comment

#2 & #3 - seem a bit underexposed

#4 - Well if you wanted to see up her nose, good angle 😛 It's under exposed. Dial in more flash for fill.

#5 - Good - could use a little more fill.

#6 - That's more what you should see with proper fill. Shadow on the neck is a bit distracting though.


I didn't see any exif so I can't help you there. Would be helpful if you could post exif.
