I've tried the torrent, my connection is really, really slow today... I was pulling about 10 bps. That's right, 0.01 kbps. Estimated time of arrival was 43 days. I might try again later, because our connection is supposedly kind of spotty today, or I might see about ordering the disc from one of those places.

Stupid dorm internet connection.

yeah right now i'm downloading anywhere from 5kilobytes a seconds to 15kilobytes a second. At this rate, it'll take about 4 days.

My torrent is going at <10K/s. That's too slow for me, so I tried out my favorite mirror: downloading it now at >800K/s :D :D

I'll overwrite my torrent and seed at full bandwidth for a few days once I get it.

edit: well for some reason, trying to seed the iso I downloaded gives an error. After burning 2 DVDs, the media check fails and the install fails, even though a "verify" with Imgburn says the burn is ok. Hmm, the mirror I got if from is in the official Fedora mirrors list, so it should be a reliable source.

I guess I'm back to downloading the torrent. Maybe I'll try grabbing an iso from another mirror, too.

edit2: hmm, another odd thing, the ISO file actually passes the media check when attached directly to a virtual machine.

i installed fedora core 6 onto my dell latitude 120L laptop. My ethernet connection doesnt work now with core 6. When I was using fedora core 5, my ethernet connection worked just fined. DHCP is enable in core 6 and everything. I dunno why it wont get an IP address from my router.
