I upgraded my computer video card from an ati x850xt to an ati x1900 xtx. Now fedora core 5 only recongizes my new video card as an ati unknow videocard. How do I go about updating my video card drivers for fedora core 5 to fully recongize my video card? Do I use the ones of ati website or what?

Well then you can install the propriatory drivers if you want.

If you had installed older versions then it may have made it complicated.

You have 2 choices.. Use rpm packages from Livna.org
http://rpm.livna.org/livna-switcher.html

or download the propriatory packages from ATI's website.

I don't know enough about FC and ATI to tell you which is the best. Check the versions on the rpm packages.. if the ATI drivers on their website are newer then I'd try using those.

Be sure to read any aviable documentation.
