Running FC4 on a P3-550 w/384mb. There is no KDE or Gnome running on this box, just running a few server apps. My box is on a usb KVM switch.
The text shell login works fine for a week or so then swtich the KVM to it and is black, move mouse to kick it out of screen saver mode and the screen doesn't show like it used to. If i were to guess its like its stuck in screen saver mode. I tried CTRL+ALT+F2 and get nothing.
I can use a remote login shell and all services are running fine: httpd, ftpd, etc. I'm still pretty new to Linux so i don't know what service to restart to get the login working again. In the past i just restarted the computer but the shell login would only last for a couple weeks then it gets stuck on a blank/black screen.
My resolution and refresh are set correctly. I should mention that I may not login for weeks at a time and I disabled the graphical login because i though that was causing the problem.
