Hmm i ordred frmo new egg last week on wed the 20th. The ETA on fedex was the 25th..longer then usual but eh i coudl handle it. So i have been checking the tracker and for the was 4 days its just been sitting in ARRIVED AT SORT FACILTY in California. Its suppose to be here tomorrow and I live in PA......i am wondering if its not going to get here ontime or....if the tracker is just messed up

sometimes I have found the delivery service will hold a package on purpose to "meet' the delivery date. Example, ground service is 5 days. Takes hours for a plane to arrive from Tx to Ca, but instead of deliver early, the shipping company will hold the package at a sort facility for 3 days, just so it makes it in 5 days.

It's terrible. But it gets people to sent packages on more expensive methods.

but now to make it ontime they need to fly it here overnight.

They did that to me too. Sometimes they just don't update it.

It has actually arrived early .

I can't speak for those of you who live outside CA, but I've gotten my packages from NewEgg pretty quickly. Of course, it helps that I live in CA; sure it sucks having to pay sales tax, but a small consolation is that even with [free] ground shipping, I usually get stuff within two business days at most, and sometimes even the next day--depending on a combination of when during the day I place my order and if it's in stock.

alrighty i just called fedex..For some reason my page i go to isnt updating but it is indeed on the way here and currently in Ohio so it will be ontime. Not sure why my page isnt updating but as long as it gets here i dont care

yeah their tracker is pretty slow to update. Everytime I order form Newegg it gets here a day early. Quite nice

Same experience. Happens to me every time. UPS does this too.

i can tell you never worked in one of these places. first of all, all of these companies push volume. the only reason you even know it was in the building is because on of the little worker bees scaned the package. if you don't scan the package they can't prove that you ever touched it(use your imagination). also a lot of packages get thrown, stepped on, all types of stuff. it's customary that they repackage and continue the package on it's way. i've worked at both institutions just wanted to give you some insite

Newegg has a warehouse in New Jersey so thats where you products must have shipped from. They will always charge you CA taxes as they have a presence in the state.
