Fedex wierd tracking status

Ok its been a big deal between this datacenter getting my server to ship to a different one. To make a long story short after two weeks they finally get off their butts and say "Oh well fedex messed up saying they called us for shipping confirmation we fixed it." and they give me a tracking number. Well I keep looking at the status of this tracking number and its very odd:

Jun 8, 2005 1:36 AM Arrived at FedEx location HUTCHINS, TX
Jun 7, 2005 6:58 PM Arrived at FedEx location IRVING, TX
4:28 AM On FedEx vehicle for delivery IRVING, TX

Ok its saying that it was on the truck for delivery but its not supposed to be delivered in TX its destination is GA! Then its shows its arrived at another location. Its has yet to get to a sort facility?? WTF? Anyone else seen weird stuff like this!?

I've had packages being held for 1-2 days at one of there facilities on more than one occasion. I've never seen anything like that before. Why not give them a call?

I think I will. But its not being held. It seems to be still moving... The wierd thing is it never said anything along the lines of "Arrived at sort facility" "Left sort facility" Its like it kinda keeps poping up in random locations lol

fedex ground is getting better, but i still prefer UPS with my ground deliveries.

maybe it's slowly on its way to a sorting facility

I know I LOVE UPS ground especially for something a few states away. I however had no choice in the matter since it was the datacenter shipping it for me they used their "prefered" shipper...

Maybe they're experimenting with a new teleportation delivery system? There tracking system is going a little haywire probably, when is the package suppose to arrive?

Ya know I really dont know. According to their website ground from Dallas to Atlanta should take 2 days. Well assumeing the first day was for "prep" the 2nd day SHOULD be today but like the tracking says its still in Texas...
Heh looks like I may be configuring a server using the internet on a cruise ship since I go on my honeymoon Saturday. Thats if I am told correctly about them haveing 'net access lol

I called about 4 hours ago. They had no idea where the package was or when it would arrive. Just now, I get an email telling me the other datacenter got my server. LOL apparently fedex can deliver a package and not even know it!

Lol, that is pretty typical for their systems. Try DHL and watch what a really incompetent shipper can do with a package 😉

DHL is teh awesome, followed closley by UPS, and then FedEx. FedEx is cheapest and is good for anything other than ground.
