FedEx vs UPS (again)

3 deliveries by FedEx today, 3 different trucks, 3 different drivers (obviously) but they got everything here in perfect condition. One package was even shipped yesterday and another on Monday.

Contrast this to UPS who has been sitting on a package since Monday so that they dont deliver it before its "Expected Delivery Date" GGRRRRRRRRR!

Ok, yes delivery for the FedEx items were "free" or .1 cent (for a 35 lb box) and I am paying $6.31 (a 1.5 lb box) for the UPS "service" Bet the guy leaves it without a sig and uses it to bowl for dollars up my driveway as usual.

I always wondered who picked out there company colors. I mean really, why would you want brown to be your corporate color?

I can't stand either. Both are slow, overpriced, and difficult to deal with.. I prefer USPS anytime.. I won't even buy from a place that ships only UPS..

Whenever some mentions fedex or ups I always think of the pet detective when Jim Carey is kicking the hell out of that box in the beginning of the movie. Hilarious

fedex left my package at my apartment while i wasn't there because the previous tenant signed that it is ok to leave packages. GRRRR fedex GRRRR!!!

UPS won't leave a package without MY signature. but they only ship while i'm at class so i have to drive 30 minutes to their damn warehouse after 7 pm to pick up things at the guard station. GRRRR ups GRRR!!

in conclusion, shipping is teh suck.

AIRBORNE GROUND

you do realize that really dosent work. big oxymoron there

and other then peopel posting about it ive never heard or see it before

I've had more problems with FedEx sitting on packages than UPS (although not as much lately.) Never had any problems with UPS. I find the best way to get my packages quickly is to have them shipped to my office. Both services seem to go out of their way to get packages to businesses as quickly as possible and since I've switched to having stuff shipped to the office I haven't had a package 'sat on' yet. Plus by shipping it to my office it won't be left outside. Plus there's always someone around to sign for it.

🙂 at the answers and that pic!! Ace Ventura IS my UPS guy. Saw him drop the guy across the streets package from waist level and ROLL my little one up the front walk like a bowling ball. After I complained to him I also called his supervisor and emailed their "Custome Service" NEVER HEARD A THING BACK.

First Ive used UPS in over a year . I was also being a Ferringi and looking for cheapest price and even with paying for shipping saved about 15 bucks.

if im recieving something i like fedex, but if im shipping something ups is way easier cause of the new ups stores.

Yeah, you can ship from Office Depot here and they have a great computer/labeling system. Too bad their policies and delivery guys suck. Sure there are some good ones out there but since Ive been in Floriduh I havent seen even one. Get the same FedEx guy everytime, not today but for normal expected deliveries and he couldnt be any better.

I've seen the Airborne express guy drop at least 3 of my dell pc's/monitors. Dumb bastard grabs the boxes with one hand by the handles on the sides of the boxes. Low and behold, nearly everytime he does that, the handle tears away about 4 steps from the truck and goes THUD on the ground.

Yes, I'm sure he has the upmost concern for the care of my deliveries

I find that FedEx delivers faster, but they are far more anal about leaving things without a signature... no real complaints against either though.

I was fsckin home when UPS said they "attempted" delivery. I came home at 1pm and there was no package or note. I leave the god damn door open just in case I don't hear anything but nothing... So I leave for class at 3pm, and I find a fsckin note on my door saying they "missed" me?! WTF?!! FSCK YOU UPS!!! :|😛

So I call saying I'm just going to pick it up. They give me a god damn 30 min. window frame from 8-8:30pm, and I get fsckin lost trying to find that place and make it 10min. late. They say "sorry, we're closed!" when they are right there and can't spend 1min. of their time. I even called ahead saying I'm going to be a tad late.

And then, now they don't even attempt delivery anymore since its on hold for me to pickup. I can't change it unless I want to wait another day for them delivery, so I had to drive all the way there again just to pick the damn thing up.

I've had nothing but good experiences w/ FedEx. Plus they are much cheaper, and don't wear sh1t colored clothes and drive sh1t colored trucks. 😛
