FedEx, UPS type question

OK i know that UPS and FedEx DONT deliver on Saturday unless you pay for it or your lucky. buy im curious to know if they move stuff around. I mean do the planes still go across the country and move packages, just not deliver them?? or do they just sit there till Monday?

UPS moves stuff on Sunday nights. Not sure about Saturdays though.

I don't know about you guys, but I almost never get any useful tracking info out of UPS (or fedex). The tracking info always shows the package being at some location (where it has been for several days), and then after I get the package, there will be like 5 extra lines added (ie, package delivered to sorting facility yesterday, package left sorting facility yesterday, package go to local facility today, package out for delivery, package signed for by me).

If they don't tell you st!t till well after the fact, what's the point?

Maybe you have a proxy or something with a cache between you & USP/FedEX.

Every package I have tracked (a couple a week for years) has always had timely updates.

Fedex hasn't updated my status either. we're in the same boat.

Fedex does not work or update Sunday or Monday. Naturally stuff on planes or longer haul (distribution center to center) continues to go. I have never seen tracking updates for UPS on Sat or Sun. Unless you are paying for extra services (Saturday delivery, Custom Critical, Overnight Express etc)...

Fedex ground does deliver on Saturdays. I'm pretty sure they don't deliver on Mondays.

Monday is a transportation day for FedEx. There is no regular delivery or update of non-critical packages on Mondays. They do regular deliveries on Saturday. This information was given to me by my local FedEx driver. Things may be different where you are.

in my experience UPS does not move stuff on Saturdays. Planes don't fly and collection facilities don't sort. If I get a package it is the same number of business days for delivery whether there was a weekend in between them or not.
