Placed an order with NewEgg for some memory. Newegg sends me an email with the tracking number. I track the package and get these results:

Mar 5, 2007 5:51 AM Package data transmitted to FedEx

That is the only update! It has almost been 30 hours.

I know I shouldn't be worried and I'm crying like a baby but I just ordered a new rig, first gaming rig I have had in a couple of years and I won't be able to build it without the memory 🙁

The package shipped out of Memphis and I live in Birmingham so ground shipping only takes one day but the lack of updates worries me.
 
Sometimes they don't update with new status quickly. There've been people who reported receiving the item before they even had an update.
 
At the start of the year Fed-Ex started scanning less to get packages to the customer faster.

I ordered an iPod shuffle 2G at the start of the year and had the same issue and they called Fed-Ex and that's what they told her to tell me.
 
More than once I've been babysitting my tracking page, and all in the same day it is updated to show it's on the truck for delivery, then a few hours later the package is here. I wouldn't take this as surefire evidence that it hasn't been sent yet.
 
There have been times where I got the package (ship from NJ to CT) before I even got the email w/ the tracking number. Maybe they are having problems with their system updating. I wouldn't worry.

I hope so.. All of my other parts shipped UPS and are out for delivery right now. Maybe it will be at my door when I get home..
 
Im having something shipped UPS from Atlanta to Salt Lake City and its taking over a week as it stays in each city it stops in for at least 24 hours, so quit crying.

Fedex ground receiving was closed yesterday. Pulaski day and all ya know 😉

Hence, the lack of updates.
