FedEx tracking... isn't tracking my package.

I sold an Xbox 360 to a member in FS/FT. I sent it out via FedEx Home Delivery last Wednesday, 12/3. The package is going from Philadelphia to Highland, CA. I took a look at the tracking information today... and the tracking hasn't been updated since 12/4, and I was supposed to get a tracking update on 12/6. WTF? Estimated delivery is scheduled for tomorrow, but according to the FedEx tracking, my package is still sitting in Lewisberry, PA. What gives?

Also, USPS tracking sucks hard. I bought a hard drive and had it sent via USPS. According to them, it was sitting in CA for over a week and then magically appeared in my hometown today. Awesome.

1. If it was shipped ground it doesn't get updated until it gets taken off the train. Ie it will be scanned once @Phi (I assume 12/3), and once again when it gets taken off the train (at least that's how it's always been for me)

2. It's not tracking, it never says that it's tracking. It's "delivery confirmation", ie we got the package and we delivered the package.

1) Didn't know that. Thanks for the info.

2) According to them, it's "tracking" I don't know WTF they're thinking... delivery confirmation is much more accurate.

USPS "delivery confirmation" does indeed suck. I sent out a laptop to a friend on November 19th. He received the item last Tuesday. The confirmation wasn't updated at all through the entire time.

I like UPS' tracking, though. It is wierd/funny when they give tracking delay codes like TRAIN DERAILMENT.

Yeah, UPS tracking has always been good. The "TRAIN DERAILMENT" messages are usually funny... but when you have some expensive at steak, it's not quite so amusing. :p

I've never had anything exciting like "trail derailment" end up on any of my package tracking links :(. I did have one package that kept getting rerouted every which way though. It went something like:

Laurel, MD --> Chantilly, VA (a few miles from me) --> Richmond, VA (two hours from me?) --> Laurel, MD --> Chantilly, VA --> me

Well, it IS called delivery confirmation...

Delivery Confirmation? Provides the date, ZIP Code? and time your article was delivered.

Even though the box where you put in the # says "track package" lol
