Fedex shipment from Newegg going the wrong way?

So I ordered my new computer hardware from newegg and it shipped Friday. It shipped from City of Industry and I'm in Los Angeles, not too far away. I got two tracking numbers, looks like they shipped everything in two boxes. The problem is, one of the boxes now shows arrival in the Fort Worth Texas....? Is this typical, it seem rather odd to have a box shipped from City of Industry (basically, Los Angeles) then go to Texas for final delivery in Los Angeles.

FedEx does weird things in the name of efficiency. I've had that kind of thing happen before. Perhaps not that extreme, though.

This happened to me once. I ship an item via ground to SoCal from AZ, and the item actually got to SoCal but then got rerouted to TN !
I call them (FedEx) and they said that the item was missorted and went to the wrong truck.
I complained about it and they said there is nothing they can do but wait until it arrived in TN then ship back to SoCal, nuts !
But at least FedEx kinda made up for it by shipping the item express from TN to SoCal and refund my shipping cost.
Well, things happened.

You can try call FedEx and give them the tracking number and see if they can arrange something.

ive had fedex ship from california, to louisiana, to california, then to hawaii.... bizzare, but it got here
