I know something about 25 million packages today, etc with the holidays. I ordered P4 3.06 at a store 15 miles away from me on Monday evening. It got shipped Tuesday evening from them. Fedex says gonna be delivered on Wed, nothing. Now it says will be delivered today. But when I look at the routing

It is still in Newark which, not more than 30 mins of driving from here. I know they have to move it to Staten Island Fedex location. So I am guessing 2 days delayed? 3 days? I want my P4 3.06! I just spent extra 10$ on this CPU because I thought I will get it next day!

Errr, if you paid for overnight then aren't you eligible for shipping reimbursement?

Yeah and why didn't you just pick up the cpu yourself if you're so impatient.

Did you actually pay for overnight shipping or did you just pay more for the CPU so that you could get it from a store close to you?

You shouldn't assume that just because the shipping distance isn't that far that it will only take one day to arrive.

Particularly with CPUs- many times the stores use Ingram Micro for distribution..

Kinda what I was thinking. Why didn't you just go buy it from the store?

thats nothing. I shipped a $700 item in a nicely packed box with addresses on all sides. The fedex person typed my street address in the place of To address but put the right city and state. The stupid fedex people in Austin, Tx tried to deliver the package three days in a row to a address that never existed. they could nt verify the address I wrote on the package.
