So a few months ago I sold an old dell latitude laptop via ebay to a Canadian girl in Vancouver, BC. I shipped it via Fedex and sent it out. The stupid employee there never gave me a form to fill out. Long story short, the package took some time to get there waiting for some of my signature and paperwork, but it did get there finally, and the eBay transaction was finished and we botrh wrote positive to each other...
fast forward to last month,i got a letter in the mail from fedex saying I owe them like 50 bucks in custom fee and duties (laptop was declared less than 300 bucks). it said they weren't able to collect it from the receiver so it will be defaulted as i owe them that amount. i ignored them and since i dont use fedex that much, i didnt give a rat's arse. now to this week, i got an email from fedex saying my account will be suspended until I pay them the balance (they have my account on auto-bill anyway!)
after that initial fedex mess i no longer sell anything to canada or anywhere else for that matter, beisdes the lower 48 states. but it just pisses me off. so am i obligated to pay fedex now? is it going to affect my credit history if i don't? i dont recall ever giving out my SSN to them...

3. fedex gets no response in attempt to bill recepient later, so now bills me. the seller.

5. i dont use fedex that much. can i leave the balance due in there and not affect my credit?
