FedEx Overnight - Pick up at Fedex location

I've been told by customer service of fedex that they will "try" to hold my package at their headquarters for me to pick it up.. so long as they can catch it before it gets on the truck to be delivered.

She also mentioned that if its overnight delivery that it should be at the location before 8am and I can pick it up when that location opens (also at 8am).. is that true or is she BSing me?

If it arrives before 8 am you can get it just go there. Call them and tell them not to load it for delivery and you will be picking it up.

You should also be able to pick it up after a certain time - my FedEx facility is open till 8pm and you can pickup anytime after 3pm for overnighted packages.

I had an overnite AM delivery. Driver didn't ring the bell just put up a door tag. Called 800 number who relayed with the driver. Driver wanted me to drive and meet her, however before the setup meeting time she actually came back by and re-delivered. Calling the 800 number works great.
