When I got home yesterday I noticed I had not one but two packages. Turns out I got another persons package as well, lol I think I'm going to be getting another visit from the fedex guy today. Do you guys know the policy on this, because if this happened to me, I'd be pretty pissed if I didn't get it :|

I'd open it like you thought it was yours. If its worth keeping, then I never saw a package for someone else. If it's not worth keeping, call them up and tell them you got a package that wasn't for you.

I had the opposite problem yesterday - I was expecting some computer stuff that was supposed to be delivered Friday, but got scuttled due to the blackout. No problem, I can understand that.

I had someone scrap their plans for the day so they could camp out and wait for my stuff. I was checking the FedEx site and calling home, but I ended up coming home after work and the damn delivery never happened. Then I check the site and it says that delivery was attempted at around 2 pm, but there was no door tag and my waiter swore they weren't sleeping or something.

I called FedEx and asked WTF wuz gwine on (say it out loud) and they only knew what I was seeing and that I could pick it up at the depot down in Detroit, about 20 minutes away. F*cking A! :|:|

I get down there and when I told the clerk that there was no tag or actual attempt, she said I wasn't the first person that evening who had the same complaint. Apparently, this driver dealt with the catch-up workload by not even trying and lying about it. Farging bastage!

Question: What, if anything, can I get from FedEx for my hassle? (Though asking a group whose moral compasses are so wacky they advise opening other people's packages to see if there's anything worth scamming. :disgust: ) Whenever I've had to pick up my stuff or wait extra long, I've been told it's the sender's problem, not mine, so New Egg would be entitled to any refund. Anyone else got an idea?

If you put yourself in the shoes of the intended recipient, IT IS A HUGE MISTAKE.

I'd be pissed.

Yeah, but that doesn't apply here. It's not the other person's fault the package was delivered wrong.

it don't really matter, if he didn't sign anything then fedex can't prove that he got 2 paclages instead of getting just 1

I got someone else's Fedex Urgent package once. I delivered it to the intended house the next morning myself... no biggie... not for me anyway. The fedex guy needed to get his eyes checked because our street addresses started with an "M" and the similarities ended there. At least it was just 2 blocks off...

Why would they accept it instead of pointing them to the right house ?

Wow, its amazing how many idiots there are out there.

Ok, to the people who said to keep it...how many of you would be going "OMG! FEXED DELIVERD MY PACKAGE TO THE WRONG HOUSE AND THEY SAID THEY NEVER GOT IT!" right now?

I'm guessing its pretty close to 100%. So think before you do somthing stupid like that.

Word. To all the amoral thieves here, how would you like it if your neighbor scammed something of YOURS, pulled the Sgt. Schultz act you're all acting so big about now and screwed YOU out of what was yours? Hmmm?

Anyhoo, if you signed and then lie about it, the prosecutors at your trial will introduce Exhibit A and ask you, "Is this your signature on line 31, which was your rightful delivery, and line 32, the item of which you're accused of stealing?"

Whatcha gonna do when they come for you, tough guy?

I have this happen a lot too. Seems that I'm almost always 10-20 miles out of the way on retarded country roads. Drivers don't appreciate that. Twice, they actually "attempted" delivery enough times to get it shipped back to Newegg. Newegg did not appreciate that, but they sent it back overnight. Unfortunately, there's nothing you can really do about it.

I live ONE BLOCK off the MAIN spine thoroughfare of the entire metropolitan area - I'm no "out of the way" stop, though I feel ya.

I hope this dope gets sacked. It's a tough economy, surely there are people willing to actually do the job to have a job.

No sh*t. You sound like you expect the Fedex clerk to give you a bj cause you didn't get your Geforce.

Yea, so you're saying if it (it meaning one of your packages got delivered to the wrong place) happened to you, you'd just say "oh well, finders keepers"? Yea right.
