I had the opposite problem yesterday - I was expecting some computer stuff that was supposed to be delivered Friday, but got scuttled due to the blackout. No problem, I can understand that.
I had someone scrap their plans for the day so they could camp out and wait for my stuff. I was checking the FedEx site and calling home, but I ended up coming home after work and the damn delivery never happened. Then I check the site and it says that delivery was attempted at around 2 pm, but there was no door tag and my waiter swore they weren't sleeping or something.
I called FedEx and asked WTF wuz gwine on (say it out loud) and they only knew what I was seeing and that I could pick it up at the depot down in Detroit, about 20 minutes away. F*cking A! :|:|
I get down there and when I told the clerk that there was no tag or actual attempt, she said I wasn't the first person that evening who had the same complaint. Apparently, this driver dealt with the catch-up workload by not even trying and lying about it. Farging bastage!
Question: What, if anything, can I get from FedEx for my hassle? (Though asking a group whose moral compasses are so wacky they advise opening other people's packages to see if there's anything worth scamming. :disgust: ) Whenever I've had to pick up my stuff or wait extra long, I've been told it's the sender's problem, not mine, so New Egg would be entitled to any refund. Anyone else got an idea?
