so i was expecting a package on the 13th, and it was put on the truck for delivery that morning at 8am. anyway, i didnt get the package. so i call fedex. the guy tells me they attempted to deliver it to my house at 9 pm. i tell him A) i was home at 9pm B) the fedex trucks dont run that late C) there was no notice of attempted delivery left at my door. his response: "what can i tell you, they attempted to make the delivery"

I think FedEx is almost like a franchise that hires independant drivers with their own trucks...

yea i've had that done to me before.
they usually made arrangements to stop by tho.

The thing that sucks is when they do deliver it, but don't ring the doorbell and leave your package out in plain view.

Wow, they never leave stuff in plain view, I don't think they're supposed to. I have a hedge along the front of my house, they put stuff there. My $200 case sat there for 3 days while I was out of town.

My stuff is either left right by the front door or on the back stairs (there's a park behind my house, so anyone could jump the fence and take the box without a problem).

Set up a booby trap. Er... the fed ex guy would set it off when he delivered the package. So set up TWO booby traps. That way after the fed ex guy sets off the first one, the second one is still in place to guard the package and the body.
