FedEx is EVIL

I sold a guitar in February, and FedEx damaged it. They first denied the insurance claim for 'insufficient packaging,' then after weeks (six, to be exact) of writing, calling, mailing, and faxing complaints, they FINALLY approved the claim. What did them in was the fact that their inspector lied on the damage report (said there was no damage to the box, when there was a gash, puncture, and creases all over it). I even got a letter from an executive at their claims dept. admitting responsibility and authorizing payment. I even got a check number (but no check).

I tried calling the exec last week several times to find out when they would be picking up the damaged guitar and sending my $600 check, but she never returned my calls. Once she was even there but the receptionist wouldn't let me talk to her (she told me she would call me back).

Anyway, I call today to find out the claim was DENIED AGAIN, with no explanation given. What the fvck! :| I can't believe they can reverse their decision after admitting liability. I'll be raising hell with their dept. first thing tomorrow morning. :frown:

any pics of the damaged box?

I've heard all kinds of complaints about fedex and UPS, but they usually involve improper packing. They have packing standards on the website.
