But you are on the East coast + weekends... Meh thinks you will get it on the 18th or 19th. Just look at the ETA. :)

Fed Ex runs at the speed of light.....compared to the packages I get from USPS standard ground from Canada. The Romans likely had faster shipping services.

What ETA?

Estimated Time of Arrival

I know what it is, I was just indicating that there is none.

My UPS ground package took 4 days to get from Reno, NV to Sacramento, CA. And then it had go to my house in Orange County, CA. Another 3 days.

My theory is that fedex ground uses a proprietary sub-tectonic plate railcar transit system, and unfortunately many packages get lost traveling through the lithosphere, while others make it to their destination on time when fedex occassionally times divergent plate movements properly.

Otherwise I have no clue why they suck so much.

I've never had a problem with Fedex Ground. I've had packages take up to 12 days with UPS ground. And then they're usually smashed when I get them.

UPS ground seems even slower to me. I once had to wait three weeks for them to ship some UPS Ground packages that I sent out the week before Christmas. Sure, I wasn't in any hurry to get them (they weren't X-Mas gifts), but three weeks is insane.

Amazon.com's "Super Saver Shipping" still takes the cake for slowest shipping, though. I swear that they wait a week on purpose before shipping stuff just to get you to pay up for Express Shipping next time.

It was $7 to ship the damn thing (which weighs less than an optical mouse and is smaller) ground. $13 for anything faster :p
