I've got four packages that are being held hostage by a FedEx Ground, not Express, driver because he states "Incorrect address" on all the packages.

Now, admittedly, I do live out in the country. But the damned FedEx substation is within 15 minutes of my house and one has to take only 3 turns to get to my house.

Instead, the first day, I get told by the cust. serv.rep. that the driver didn't list a reason he didn't deliver and he probably just ran out of time. (?) How does one quit delivering when one still has packages on the truck? I know UPS doesn't.

The second day when the packages don't arrive (and were needed for the following day, yesterday), the cust. rep. says my address is incorrect.

Incorrect? The packages are coming to my CC's billing address.......an address that UPS, FedEx Express (which comes out of Augusta, GA, over 1.5 hours away instead of 15 min. away), the USPS, Averitt trucking Co., among others, all find the "incorrect address". Hell, I just received my latest statement from the CC I used for these parts......came to the same "incorrect address" without a problem.

So, I call to inquire about where the packages are and put a hold on them in Statesboro, which has NO customer pickup counter so I'm stuck in this loop, and get told FedEx Ground doesn't home deliver on Mondays, so it'll be Tuesday at the earliest before anything can be done. ??????

Don't deliver on Mondays? I knew FedEx Ground was RPS before FedEx absorbed them, but I thought some of the bad RPS habits were gone. I see that I was wrong.

FedEx Ground nevermore. Damned incompetence!

Sorry for the rant......

Hmm, I get Fedex Ground on Mondays, looks like they are lying to you :D. I'd complain A LOT, not to customer service but to supervisors.

Nope... he is right. Fedex ground HOME only runs Tuesday through Saturday.
They are the slowest form of shipping I have ever seen. I ordered a set of speakers from Klipsch and they took over 2 weeks to get to me via Fedex ground. I was so mad... but it was 20 dollars cheaper so I took and and cried later.

Fedex Ground = RPS with a new paintjob. RPS always sucked, and they STILL suck. I wish you luck with them, but I strongly caution you to pay the extra 1.00 or so for UPS next time.

I was the Receiving manager for several Sam's Clubs, and RPS was used at the time to deliver some of our merchandise, mostly clothes. It was not unusual to get shipments of 6 or 7 boxes arriving one box at a time over 2 weeks. One memorable example took SIX weeks from the 1st box untill the last one.

As for thier ability to find an "incorrect address" i think they are using mapping software designed by schizophrenic alzheimers patients. :)

Good Luck!

Funny, FedEx Ground si always GREAT for me. I order computer parts from Vancouver BC (west coast) and it gets to me in Toronto, Ontario (east coast!) in exactly 4 days. UPS is always a nightmare for me...and postal office is iffy, but usually pretty reliable.

Also, in my experience FedEx Ground, Home - whatever you want to call it has been great. All deliveries have been made within 4 days for me. This is my preferred method to ship. Also, about a year ago, I shipped an item which was damaged during delivery to another individual. FedEx had the claim check in my hands within a month. I'm impressed, but sorry to hear about your bad experience - which does "blow chunks." :(

I thought Chunk was the deformed guy on Goonies?

FedEx ground has been good to me, and as with anything YMMV.
