I started making a habit of reporting all spoof emails I get in my inbox. Today I got one claiming to be FedEx, so I proceed go to FedEx's site to get an email address to send these kind of emails to. I didn't find any such email address so I call fedex's 1800 number to see if they could point me in the right direction.

the first person I spoke to had no idea what a spoof or phishing was so she transfered me to the shipping manager department. As soon as I was transferred I hung up and called back.

The second time I got this lady that was absolutely clueless . I explained to her what phishing is, but she just did not seem to get it, and responded "is there a problem with your tracking number or something", I told her no, and told her again that I just received a spoof email claiming to be FedEx trying to get my personal information and wanted to know who to foward this message to at FedEx. She was stumped, and told me that they don't have email like that, it was obvious she was completely lost. At this point I was was pretty frustrated although amused slightly I then asked her simply "So who should I report this email to" and she told me "I don't know maybe your police" LOLOL!!!!!

I told her thank you and hung up.

Don't need to know anything about tech to be Fedex customer support. I wouldn't expect them to know what spoofs and phishing are.
