Anyone know if its possible to sign for a package before hand? I have something comming tomorrw and I know I wont be around to sign for it 🙁

You can try leaving a note, but that probably won't work, and there is no way to get a signature waiver on file by then.

Nope. I think you're out of luck. I would say have the package diverted to the location you're going to be but from what I understand only the shipper can do that.

like was said....you can try leaving a note saying that you authorize leaving the package there....might not work though....

If you can contact the hub where you package is currently at, you can occasionally get lucky, and they'll reroute it to your current address (office or whatever), as long as it's serviced by the same hub. If it's not, you'll have to wait until they leave the door tag, which you can sign (unless it requires an adult/direct signature), and then they'll leave it the day after.

The FedEX guy who delivers to me is a cool guy. In the beginning, I used to leave a note for him to leave all packages on the floor in the back seat of the jeep parked in my driveway. Now, if my car is not parked in front of the house, the jeep is exactly where he leaves them.

i just leave a note on my door and all 3 of them (UPS, Fedex, DHL) always leave it there for me.

On the note i simply write "Please leave the package here... Thanks!" then sign and print my name... Haven't had a problem in the years i've been doing it.

Thanks for the responses everyone. I'll probably just leave a note. I live in an apartment complex and I know the neighbors are good about signing for stuff and then the carier just leaving it in the garage, but I hope someone is around. I should have taken the day off of work. My apartment is in a smaller town thats about an hour from the hub so they dont wana have to drive back every day if they dont need to 🙂 Hopefully i can play with my new toy on the 4th. 🙂
