FedEx and shipping

I'm ordering a camera and the site I want to order it from ships FedEx. Does anyone know their policy regarding package delivery when you're not home. I live in an apartment and I"m scared of it getting dropped on my door and stolen.

I ordered something with UPS shipping last week - I was gone when they tried delivering so they dropped it off at the apartment office.

they stomp on your package and kick your dog

edit: they'll drop it at the office

Depends on the driver, the area, and the retailer.

If the retailer requested a signature, then you have to sign for it, so they'll try to deliver again another day if you're not there.

If it doesn't require a signature, and the area appears safe, or they can leave it outside your office or the side of your house, then they'll just leave it there.
