does it not go to tie breaker? does the last set go on forever?

YUP, so there's a risk of the match being suspended unless Nadal can break here and serve for the match

suspended? why?

I meant postponed, because it's getting really late there.

Well, if it kept going back and forth, at some point they'll lose light. The announcers (McEnroe) were saying that they'd probably wait until it was 9-9 to suspend it.

Because it will be night time and the match will have gone on for 7 hours.

Not suspended, but paused till tomorrow as it's getting pretty dark here now. I estimate there is only about another 20 mins of acceptable light for play.

fitting that federer would lose on that shot. that's like the 100th time it happened to him during that match.

Agree. And while I was rooting for Federer the whole time, Nadal did an amazing job to win it!

Awesome match, congrats Nadal!

Wow, it's 9:20 and I can't believe there's still light over there. I'm also surprised this arena has no lights.

They might put some lights on when they finish the retractable roof in the next year but they prefer to play in daylight.

A game like tennis needs to be played in the daylight. Outdoor lighting doesn't cut it and screws with your vision.

Totally agree with you. I have been playing since 8 (16+ years) and hate to play it at night.

I don't think it was nearly one of the best matches ever. Nadal was great, that's for sure. Federer played pretty Sloppy for the most part though, not making it a great match. Sure there was a lot of back and forth, but so many sloppy shots by R-Fed, and very few by Nadal.
