The point is that the sexes aren't treated equally in such proceedings because the sexes simply aren't equal when it comes to specific responsibilities. This isn't a "hahaha! dumb liberals want womens to be equal, then treat them just like men!" kinda gotcha, but an obvious reality of the world that also doesn't reject any kind of notion of fair and equal treatment. The world isn't black and white, and neither is the law.

Breast feeding generally stops at the age of 1 for most - so unless the divorce is between pregnancy to 1 that is generally not an issue.

Also keep up to date, we have these amazing devices called breast pumps now. Amazing, I know. You can also *gasp* freeze the breast milk and utilize it later.

Be it work, school, or just out and about - I've seen women get in the biggest pissing matches with other women in life numerous times.

That's the thing though, couldn't women argue that is exactly why they should not be forced to serve, that the military has a serious sexual assault issue?

But I'm not sure you realize how odd that sounds. "Women are being sexually assaulted at epidemic levels in the military. We should make it so women can be conscripted to serve!"

The military is already moving to PT standards that are job based with no concern or special allowances being given to sex or gender. Which is how it always should have been. If you’re in the Infantry whether you’re male female or trans should have no bearing on your fitness standards. If you’re a cook who never needs to lift anything heavier than a can of soup your fitness standards should likewise reflect that no matter your sex or gender. And if you lack the fitness needed for your job you should be moved to a different one (if it suits the needs of the government) or discharged ASAP again without regard to your sex or gender.
