Fed Ex, UPS, and DHL all have shipments for me today.

So, has anybody ever had two rival companies show up at the same time? Did they fight to the death?

Yes. No.

edit: funny you mentioned it...yesterday on my way to the train to go home...I saw 2 UPS drivers, 1 FedEx Driver, and a DHL Driver standing in a circle having a conversation.....

i believe ive had UPS in the driveway and DHL waiting to Pull in, while the USPS man drove by and pulled in to set a package on my front porch.

No, they don't. I've had all three of them IN THE office @the same time before. Usually, the delivery drivers already know each other.

I assume the fedex guy won?

Apparently you all labor under the delusion that delivery drivers give a damn. This same assumption is true of most people when they think of pizza delivery drivers. We're NOT in competition with one another. We really don't care about the company. No one gets paid enough, we're just trying to do our jobs. Heck, usually if I see a Domino's guy waiting to try and get on the road, i'll stop and let him in.

I am waiting today for UPS and Fed Ex, but neither has come yet and I have to go to work. Maybe they will show up at the same time and sign for me.

You guys fail to realize that the drivers don't hate the other companies drivers, corporate and management are the ones who hate the competition. I work for FedEx and I get calls from UPS all the time, if you act like a normal person, polite courteous etc, I will help you to the best of my abilities. If you're an as$hole to me, I will treat you the same way, regardless of what company you work for.

UPS and DHL have no problems leaving packages on my door step. In fact, two seconds after they ring the bell, the truck is already pulling away. Fedex makes me drive 20 miles to the airport to get my stuff.
