It's terrible. It's not worth the $10 you pay extra for the controller.

I disagree. I had a ton of fun playing it with my gf while she was visiting last week. We played that even more than Wii Sports. The only one I really don't like is the posing game, and the cow riding game, while fun to begin with, got old quick. Shooting, hockey and ping pong are my favorites, but we actually had a lot of fun playing the "Find Mii" game too.

It's definitely worth the $10... but definitely wouldn't be worth buying if it weren't a pack-in.

Edit: It sucks if you're playing by yourself though. :p

I for one am waiting for a price drop and a hardware revision (that runs cooler) before I buy one.

Nah, it's worth $10, but not much more. The tank game is a lot of fun.

Some of the games aren't too bad, it just has very little replay value.

but the walmart i stopped at this morning had 3 wiimotes and 4 nunchucks in stock, so apparently the accessories are in good supply , finally

maybe i'll get a wii by summer time

same around here.

have not seen a wii in a store since i got mine. but have seen lots of wiimotes and nunchukcs

Looks like Nintendo might actually come close to their goal of shipping 6 million Wiis by the end of March. I'd go back and find all the people who smugly claimed that Nintendo was committing suicide by "flooding the market," but I'm sure they know they're idiots. ;)

They also stated their MS rep told them the now premium would see a price cut sometime to 299/349. There was a bit of debate on this point between the two guys, one guy said the rep said 299 for the now premium while the other said if she said 299 then to expect 349. They also stated the core is pretty much goners as well at some point. This was all confirmed to them by their MS rep, new SKU included.

heh my point exactly. it's all "someone told someone else ..." type of stories with this.

i'm not saying it's not coming out or anything, just that there is nothing official at this point. i personally don't think it's going to come out still (just for the fact of the way all these rumors came about) but if it does, sweet for the people who will take advantage of it :)

Your "friend to friend" point my hold if this wasn't published in a major gaming magazine this month. It is not in the rumor section or anything of that sort, two page spread on it.

Report: Best Buy to Put 20GB PlayStation 3 on Ice

If major retailers like Best Buy just drop the $500 SKU altogether, market penetration is not going to get any easier.

SCEA communications director Dave Karraker also told Joystiq last week that retailers have been overwhelming placing orders for the more expensive 60GB PS3. "Retailers have been requesting the 60GB model, the mix has been about 80 percent 60GB, 20 percent 20GB retailer orders. So, the reason you might not be seeing the 20 GB is simply that retailers have been ordering more of the 60 GB unit," said Karraker.

Sony still plans to make its 20GB PS3 available to retailers who want to sell it, but the number of retailers willing to stock the device may soon be dwindling.

Why do retailers not want to stock the 20 GB PS3? My understanding is that's the one that's in the most demand. How do retailer profits compare on the two models?

Everyone is pointing to the fact that the 20GB version has almost 0% margin. The Software attach rate for the PS3 sucks...so for vendors...selling the 20GB version sucks for them. They're supposed to make up the difference in software and that just isn't happening at the moment. So really it is a business decision that will probably make it even harder for Sony to penetrate the market.

6 versus 11 dollars from what I heard.
