I was just curious about this as I was inactive at the time. That must have one gratifying dump. In any case I'd like to thank whoever was responsible. I couldn't figure it out from the archives. Maybe a second incarnation of TAboo? In anycase many belated thanks go out to the responsible party or parties.

I couldn't look at your stats because the Seti Servers are currently down.

When did you start running Seti BOINC?

I was running seti classic, and switched to boinc pretty much right away when it was available. Whenever that was, been along time. I first noticed this recently on boinc stats, I think the link below will work.

Yeah I was a starving grad student for quite awhile and had no access to any computing power larger than a celeron 300. I did have an athlon 900 for some time, but it's seti performance was depressing at the time, so I ran some other projects on it, till the MB power circuits melted one day.

Now as a starving scientist, I was able to get the current computer (athlon X2 5200+). Thus i thought I'd come back down and support the seti team.

Graduated food science, specializing in Food microbiology. Now I'm in Montana studying Microbial biofilms.

Which SETI stats did you get a boost in?
If its SETI classic then it is possible TaBoo helped you out, though we normally went for specific milestones like 5k or 10k.
If its BOINC then it won't of been TaBoo ,as we haven't brought it out of retirement yet .

Btw is 8915 your total WUs or the amount you recieved?

It was 8915 seti boinc workunits in a single day, prior to that I didn't have hardly any. If you look at my stats at the link, (if it works, does it?) theres a listing of the top five production days, that shows it, and my world overall rank improved sharply in feb according to the graphs. That would have been about a 2 months after TAboo ended.

Ah ok ,its not TaBoo then AFAIK.

Could it be some other BOINC project you were running on a remote PC ran out of WUs so it switched to SETI??

Nah, couldn't be I wasn't running anything. If you notice it was just that one day, and then nothing until I started again recently.
