I'm an nvidia fanboy, so I'm only going to mention what I wish nv would add or fix. Here's a list of what I'd like to see fixed/added:
~force trilinear mip maps (I wish nvidia hadn't removed that option) Does anyone know why they did? In one app I tried, forcing AA+AF eliminated the shimmering, but I don't know whether it's like that for all apps.
~recognize Aero as a 3D app (so that reducing the number of max prerendered frames will reduce desktop input lag with Aero on)
~increase openGL performance for Fermi (without sacrificing IQ, of course)
~allow forcing of any RGBA and Z formats in hardware (would be useful to be able to force RGBA8 for games that didn't support 32 bit color, and forcing a complementary FP32 zbuffer would be great for apps that originally used the Wbuffer), or emulate an FP24 wbuffer and proper dithering (dithering is only emulated partially, and the wbuffer isn't emulated at all)
~rasterization/shader overall quality slider

I commend nvidia for the excellent job they did fixing all scaling/centering issues they had previously had for so long. I also commend them for emulating most features no longer in hardware. Of course, the Wbuffer is an exception, as is dithering for most formats. They could either be fixed by emulating those features, or by allowing the user to force available hardware formats as I noted earlier in this post.

AMD (and other nv users) users, feel free mention issues you have with your drivers and/or what you'd like to see added to them.

I still play a lot of old games, so that's why I think the drivers from both IHV's could be a lot better.

nV: guaranteed good texture filtering, regardless of AF or AO settings. Blocky stretched textures, and blocky shadows, should not exist, but they do. I only have 1GB VRAM, and I want them fuzzy!
