LOOK HERE!!!

Wow - what can I say. It seems as though Team Anandtech has once again shown its POWER!

The Distributed Folding TeAm was hovering around the ~80 rank just a week or so ago.

The Distributed Folding TeAm just this morning plowed its way into the top 50(#49 at

the moment). So that puts Team Anandtech in the top 50 in 10 DC projects! <a target=new class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.msu.edu/~bercikda/DC_Rank.html">Team

Anandtech World Rankings</a> WU!!WU!!WU!!

On 6/21 TA Covert Ops took it upon themselves to put this project on the TeAm map. We

were #79 in the world at the time. The combined power of TACO is still relatively

unknown but as you can see they helped give a much needed boost to small project. We

progressivly chewed through the ranks and now TA Covert Ops is one of the top 9

producing "users" in the world for Distributed Folding! <a target=new class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.statsman.org/distfoldingstats/users.html">TOP 9 DF Producers in the

World</a>

Thank you to the 3 other active Distributed Folding users and KEEP FOLDING!!! And to

those Dist Folders that aren't active..Thank you too but get back on the horse!;)YOUR

TeAm NEEDS YOU!:D We really need some more help for this DC project and it really

doesn't take a big powerfull machine to help make a difference!( I have a P233 that

Folds ;) ) Not to take away from other groups but if you find yourself wanting to help

out a small TeAm this would be the one as there are only a few active users!:Q If

interested here is the site to download the client <a target=new class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.distributedfolding.org/index.html">Client Download and

info</a>. Stats can be seen on

here ,

Here, or here TeAm Stats Page

What a great day for the DF TeAm, Team Anandtech, and the USA(4th of July:D)!!!

FUHOO!!!;):D

Sweet :D

Those links are pleasing on the eyes. I'm getting well back into the sprit of things now after my 'absence' :) Maybe I'll start a bit of folding too!

OK so TA Covert Ops fell out of the top 9 in the world today:( but that is only because of some mega-dumps made by a few people. TACO should be back in the #9 spot or better by morning;) (top 9 is based on weekly numbers and there are those that play the system;))

Crunch on!

Thanks CADkindaGUY. I forgot to mention that running distributed folding now is my P3 500 laptop. It doesn't run 24/7 but it will do what it can.

For those of you who are joining the DF fun, you may want to make a file 'autoupdate.cfg' that has as its only entry the number 1. This
sets a flag so the client updates (every Tuesday this summer) don't need human interaction to complete. You can read about the advantages/disadvantages in the client READMEs on the download page. This seems to work in windows, but not in linux.

I think the most recent client has a setup script at the beginning which will put the autoupdate.cfg in for you if you say you want it. Also it is not a bad idea to tell it you want the larger buffering option if you have a modern hard drive. Taking the time to read the readme1st text is time well spent. The service option is painless, no firedaemon required. Enjoy the project, it is easy to make a difference.

edit- these are win2k observations, not sure about other platforms.
