FEAR problem.

Everytime I try and start the game it encounters an error and has to close. I have reinstalled it 3 times and nothing good has happened. Any Ideas?

what is the error message?

try googling something significant from the wording, i'm sure someone else has encountered it on a FEAR forum somewhere

I'd had this problem as well. I'm going to take a random guess that you run Kaspersky antivirus. Furthermore, if you exit out and try to run it again, it'll go fine. If this is true, go to intall/uninstall programs, click the checkbox to show updates and find the Windows update KB917422, get rid of it, and you're good.

It took me a bit to figure that one out...I sat at a LAN party for a good 30-40 minutes looking stupid because FEAR wouldn't start....

I'm sure that's it. I had the problem and removing that update took care of my problem.

I cant even exit out because it doesnt load. But Ill delete that update and see if it works.

Edit: Hey that worked. Thanks guys. Why does that windows update cause a problem?
