Fear patch bunked my save files!!

i just updated when i installed like hte litlte pamphlet told me too....but i beleive it....release a game and a patch the day of release....ugh
 
You mean the 1.01 patch? I updated and it didn't mess up my saves. I was only 30 minutes into the game though..

I'd rather it be patched the first day of release rather than in a month and have to listen to everyone bitch in the meantime. Patches aren't necessarily a bad thing.
 
Game patches usually do mess up Saved Games. With a few exceptions, this has been a standard occurence forever.
 
well for sure my saved games are fubared! I bought the game yesterday and there was no patch available then today it asks me to update, I thought no biggie. Sucks that I've already invested like 10 hours!

My save games are fine after installing the patch. So are all my quick saves.
