Fear Combat Will Not Install

I've tried downloading Fear Combat form 4 different sources. I've tried using both IE and Firefox with no success.
It seems the file is incomplete or something.
Most sites say the file size should be 1800 something MB, but all four I've downloaded ended up being 1.76GB.
When the download finishes the icon for the file looks like a miniature window, basically a little white box with a blue border.
When I double click the file to install I get the hour glass for a second or two, but it never seems to begin the install and my PC begins to slow down to a crawl until I hit the reset button.

The sites I've tried were fileshack, filefront, gamespot, and fileplanet.

Are there any sites that have a currently working version?

They all have a working version. The problem is your system.

Disable any software firewalls (inc. the nvidia garbage) you may have running and download it again.

I thought the exact same thing, but it actually is fine. It just takes a REALLY Long time for anything to start happening in the install. Just click the icon, and go away for 10 minutes, I'll bet the install window is now up and ready to go.
