FEAR CO-OP v0.5 out now...

Nice! I hate how co-op has been completely neglected as a game type for so long. I think some games that were co-op oriented from the start could do really well.
 
actually I know How to click on a link and I did that before asking the queston. I could not find that big glaring banner that says what the Mod is about so I thought that In would ask , sheesh!!

Are you guys certain it works with FEAR Combat? That doesn't seem right that it would... I mean, if that were the case, then it would have to contain all the game files for SP mode in order to use them with Co-Op mode, right? Knowing that the download is 1.8gb compressed, I am think it doesn't contain everything, but I could be wrong, since uncompressed that could be easily 3gigs or so...

Anyway, just looking for somone to confirm this... Thanks...

I was reading the co-op forums and it seems quite misleading... As far as I can tell, this co-op is nothing special, not in the way that I think if co-op. It is basically TeamDM with one team human players and one with BOTs... :-/

Oh well, give it a shot anyway I guess.

We just finished some human/AI vs human/AI goodness...sweet. 🙂

Which is the SAME exact thing I could do in UT (Assault)... I don't see anything special about it. I am not attempting to discredit your work and I think it is "great" that another mode was added, but it is a bit misleading in my opinion.

When I think of co-op, I think if serious sam, serious sam 2, quake 2, etc... I think of you and your buddy going through the single player campaign and what not... I suppose co-op can mean more than that, but when we think of it (gamers) it generally refers to what I mentioned above.

I miss, very much, the co-op goodness in games these days... I am almost tempted to pickup Rune (remember that game?) and download the co-op add in for that. It allowed you to run through the game with two players! It was cool...

This is all possible(you would need the full version of F.E.A.R.), please read all the info provided either directly or indirectly through the links. Also this CO-OP mod works with the free multiplayer for those wondering.

Oh and I had no part in this mod. Just enjoying it and thought I'd share. 🙂
 
I hope it's not coop in the same way that those HL2 mods are coop. In other words, massive graphic problems, major technical problems, and generally actually unplayable coop.
