Fear 2 - Worth 20 bucks?

It's on Steam for that amount... Should I buy, or wait for a deal?

Thoughts on the matter would be greatly appreciated.

In a word, no.

The game doesn't suck. It blows. I played the demo when it was coming out, and it was horrible. A complete and utter fail in every way. It wasn't that the demo sucked because it was missing something from the full version. It was that everything sucked.. the graphics.. the gameplay.. the interface.. everything. If the 1st FEAR was a PC game, the 2nd one felt like it was designed and intended for consoles and PORTED to PC.

You could not be more wrong. You could try, but you would not succeed. Fear 2 is awesome, and easily worth $20. The graphics are great, it's extremely cinematic, and it didn't have a console feel at all. This guy knows nothing.

I played the whole game. I liked it and it was fun to me. 🙂 Worth it, so is the little addon the falling builing level was pretty cool!!
 
I recently played the Fear 2 demo, loved it. Picking it up once I get back to the mall.

Although nothing wrong with being cheaper, I picked up Diablo Battlechest for $10.
 
FEAR 2 was hated by many of the people who played the original & expansions. Take that for what it's worth.

Still, even I, who despise consolization, am tempted to buy it just because it's the FEAR franchise. Awesome.

Quit trolling. FEAR 2 was quite possibly the worst PC game I have installed in the past 10 years. As for it not having a console feel, I had to turn my MX518 down to 200DPI in order to get a slow enough mouse sensitivity, because even with it set to min in FEAR2, it was still crazy fast. That means it was designed to be used with joysticks on a controller.

I wouldn't play or touch that game unless someone paid me money.

FEAR 2 is the most consolitised game I have ever played in my entire life. It is not worth $20. OP, you'll be pissed at wasting $20. $5 for this game would be a stretch.

Game was BAD.
