FE/EIT test on Saturday - anybody?

Is anyone else gonna through these 8 hours of hell this Saturday? I am so dreading taking this test. I haven't had a chance to study at all with all the stuff I've been doing for my classes. I really hope I pass it the first time.:disgust:

For those who have no clue, I am talking about the Fundaments of Engineering exam, which tests you on all disciplines of engineering. If you pass, you become an "Engineer-in-training" with the opportunity of becoming a "Professional Engineer" after five years of work.

<< I took it last semester. Don't sweat it, the passing rate is very high. >>

i havent taken it yet, ( give ame 2 years and it will be my turn) but i hear its a high failure rate???

In your .sig, it looks like you're an EE. What's your motivation in taking the EIT? It's only a requirement if you're gonna do public work, right? I guess maybe guys working in power might require you to be a "professional" engineer, but are there other fields/jobs that require it? Anyways, I'm the ultimate lazy lemming, and since none of my friends took it, I didn't either... Man, after the GRE, who wants to sit through another test. It's been a couple years since I graduated, so I'm sure I'd fail big-time if I took it now. 🙂

Many of my friends are taking it. My chance comes in one year. I am a senior now, and I still have my super-senior year to go!

lol... I know what you mean... engineering curriculums usually demand more than 4 years of school

I was fortunate enough to get lots of AP credit and school testing at orientation, so I will be graduating in 3½ years. 😎

Can't you read? The passing rate is like 90-95% at my school.

I completed mine in 8 semesters exactly, with no AP credits coming in. I don't understand why it's so hard for some people.
