😱Hi,
I just instaiied a new maxtor hard drive.
Used "fdisk" to create C/D/E drives. This went OK.

Problem: I FORGOT to set c drive active!!!!

Now when I type "fdisk" at the "A"
1/ it asks if I want to enable large disk support. (yes)
2/ it then gives message: Error reading fixed disk:

Help.

I did the same thing, and I had a similar problem in that I wasn't able to install anything to the drive, surprise. I did have a problem with the fdisking process. Use the maxtor disk that came with the drive, boot off that, then run the maxtor program to format and partiiton. You can do anything in fdisk with the maxtor prog, IIRC.


 
😀Hi, Iwant to thank everyone for the suggestions.

Problem is fixed! I shut it down for one hour,restarted and everything went normal.
I am up and running looping Mad Onion and all seems well.
