i am getting linux and win2k tomorrow and i have winME already...i wantr to partition and format a 30 gig ibm deskstar and run all three on it...i also have a copy of system commander 4.0 and partition magic 6.0
my question is cant i use fdisk to partition and format each of the OS's partitions including the one where i wil install SuSE?
or is it nessesary to use a "linux" fdisk equivilant to do its partition?

Windows fdisk? No. Won't work. Also, fdisk doesn't format, fdisk partitions (just a minor technical point with your explanation) format formats (in Windowsease). mke2fs formats (in linuxease). 🙂
