”Best efforts” leaves so much to interpretation, and you know how it will end up.

I do not enjoy self protective cynicism....tho sometimes, it serves a function, so, I will now try to be the optimistic little human I mostly am.

In this now, I honestly think, as of today, that is justified. Well, might be......

This-all is making me depressed. I just emailed The White House. I do that with support (I often use basketball analogies, .i.e, go right! Set picks!) cause Obamababe is a Southpaw as I am)......but today, I simply said, You campaigned on this, I know you have more than ever on yr plate, but, please, U gotta fight for it!

Nobody will call offensive foul. I din say that, cause, sure they will.

PLEASE CONSIDER DOING THIS:

Kudos, you've done more than me.

FYI, hand written letters go much further and are actually required to be read.

But it don take much! Like, one minute! Re hand written, terrible thing....I honestly can't remember the last time I did that. Hand wrote anything cept work notes sometimes....and the occasional check.

Print out stuff to snail using WORD....sometimes. I know you don't really mean write with my left hand. Soon our hands will atrophy cept for mousing, typing and texting.:sneaky:

I can tell you from long experience---since start of Obama's first term---re emailing the White House, they read them and take them seriously.

They have tons of categories in the drop down menu for good reasons reflecting they do read them and take them seriously.

So, OK, U then get spammed to death.....but it's good SPAM!!!

TAKES ONE MINUTE! Millions of people died so we might have the ongoing privilege of such things.

Petitions startin to come in! I just signed this one, pls do the same. Am posting the mail.

Jill, sign the petition to save net neutrality by stopping the proposed “pay-to-play” rule at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC.) Click here to sign.

Big Telecom has wanted to kill net neutrality for years, and a new proposal at the Federal Communications Commission would help them do just that.

FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler has proposed a new set of rules that will allow Internet service providers to charge web publishers extra for preferential treatment.

Large websites like Fox News could pay for priority service to ride in the fast lane and reach more people online—while independent blogs like Daily Kos, nonprofits, small businesses and any website that can’t afford it will be left out in the cold.

The FCC will consider this “pay-to-play” rule on May 15th, so let's nip it in the bud now.

Sign the petition: Tell the FCC to vote down this “pay-to-play” rule, and instead create real net neutrality that protects an open and fair Internet.

Keep fighting,
Paul Hogarth, Daily Kos

P.S. Please help keep Daily Kos strong by chipping in $3.
