I'm not even sure what you're asking about anymore. Our current system of regulation does exactly what you said you wanted.

No it does not. The people who write the legislation from which legal cases are decided AKA Congress do not have sufficient expertise in a great many areas to understand and consequently craft legislation for todays world. Yes one can write laws and regulation but that does not mean either are good. Simply put those who make decisions are not qualified to do so. The legislative system is obsolete. An effective fourth branch of government is needed, one which recruits, empowers and holds accountable those who are qualified in important areas of our lives to work with those who pass legislation. Not staffers or people who are called to testify, but really know what's going on and actively participate in the process of writing laws and regulations before they are implemented. The world has become too complex for Congress in its present form to deal with.

Yet again, you are describing the regulatory bureaucracy. Who do you think works at places like the EPA and the FCC? Have you read the FCC's mandate from Congress and how it delegates its authority?

Hahahahahahah. That's hilarious.

You think they exist to make your life better?

They exist to provide a service and aim to profit off it. At the moment, they're subsidizing the markets in the hopes that the increased userbase and traffic will generate more of their main revenue (i.e. ads).

American ISPs being able to play favourites is not beneficial to anyone except the execs. It doesn't advance innovation, it doesn't create a fair market, and it increases the cost to consumers.

From what I gather the President has as much authority to direct the FCC to do something as he would to direct a federal judge to rule in a certain manner.

Utter bullshit. The authority to direct is irrelevant when one stacks the deck so that a predetermined outcome is bound to happen.

Here is Obama not being at fault.
Was he before it before he was against it or the other way around?

Note one thing. I'm not just against Obama here, but the politicians is our wonderful government in general. Neither the Republicans nor Democrats are above taking bribes. You can blame Bush all you want (and reasonably so) but don't defend those who are currently in power and who installed people who were favorably disposed to such things. Congress and Obama are using the dopes who support them, and they are legion. But yes, the Hypocrite in Chief is indeed chief among them. When Obama puts his hand to something (like the proposed "privacy enhancements") you can bet we are all screwed. People need to stop defending and making excuses for their bastards.
