FCC ok's use of "F" word

Link

I believe there was a court case on the use of the word. It is in the smoking gun archives somewhere.
The F word won that case.

These " family advocacy" groups need to realize the facts. What difference is hearing the f word on tv from hearing it from a friend or classmate?

if they hear it from a classmate, its in the form of a whisper or on the playground. They know its wrong to say. If they start hearing it all over, they will think its ok to say.

what they really need to do is mind their own fvcking business, they should mind their own families and stop telling other people how to handle theirs.

Whisper? Not always. Face it parents, your kid is going to hear the words one way or another and they will most likely eventually use them.

It is ok to say; in casual settings amongst people you know, for most people.

For me, it rarely ever bothers me to hear it.

thats the parents job, not the fcc's, its funny that most of these people are conservitatives who want smaller government but when it comes to social issues they want to run your life and tell you how to live it.

It doesnt bother me to hear it either. I swear as much as the next guy. But you have to learn when its ok to do.

Think about it. How would you like your kid to go up to your mom when he/she is 5 years old and say, "Hi Gramma, how the fVck are ya?"

Why dont we just open everything up and have people humping during the 5 o'clock news? Kids are going to see it and do it eventually, lets just get it all out in the open!

Oh, OK -

You can use Fvck in any context except what the word actually means.
In a ruling last month, the commission effectively approved the word's use at any hour, except in sexual situations.

So what. Makes no difference. Kids are going to hear it. I learned all my bad words in school.

It's all just a matter of time before they are surrounded by it. Parents should be the role model, not tv.

thats the parents job, not the fcc's, its funny that most of these people are conservitatives who want smaller government but when it comes to social issues they want to run your life and tell you how to live it.
I call them neo-conservatives. Conservatives today are but a mere shadow of the men of the past.

Family advocacy groups are definatly not my families advocate.

Another thing is, WHY WHY WHY do we manipulate our lifestyles to such extremes for children and the whole politically correct thing? Hell, being policically correct is practically FOR the children.
It's not like reality isn't going to be there to bite them in the ass eventually. Stop sheltering your kids.
Stop shuffling off your parental responsibilities to an inanimate object.
Stop putting the stress on govt. to make this a child friendly world, so you can slack off on being a parent.
Be the friggin parent you are supposed to be, you whipped up the batch, now bake the fvcking cookies.

It's not mine, or my friends, or families, or my congressmans responsibility to raise your damned kid, or keep it away from things it should not be around.

you can, but according to everyone in here so far, there should be no censorship. So even if we let our kids watch the Disney Channel, Mickey, Minney and Goofy could all have an orgy and it would be no big deal.
