FBSD XF86 problem

I'm running FreeBSD 4.6RC2 (unmodified kernel) on an IBM NetVista that I found. I installed XFree86 4.2 and then ran xf86config. The video card is onboard and with a little research I found it was an Intel 810. I looked at FreeBSD's site and found that there was specific steps that need to be taken to get XF86 to work with the i810 module. That page can be found here. However, I still can't get XF86 working, I hope I'm just skipping a step and there's an easy fix. Here is the error message generated by XF86. Any help would be greatly appreciated...

i would try to uninstall this freeBSD thing,

to do this, click on your start menu, then control Panel.
After this it will get a little tough, but don't worry, i'm sure you will get it
ok, now double click the add and remove programs icon, then from the list of programs, choose the Free BVD, and then uninstall.

after you have done this, reinstall it back onto your PC (Personal CompaqComputer)

I'm guessing you tried rebooting first, after you followed the step by step solution on the website you linked to.

Try the 'Option "NoDDC"' that the site talks about to get rid of the unresolved symbols, and post a link to your XF86Config, I will try to help you out as best as I can 🙂.

I have tried the Option NoDDC, and I have rebooted. However, it still didn't work. So I just ran XFree86 -configure and replaced my old XF86Config file. I still need to tweak the config file and reboot, but I got kicked out of the lap where my server is, so I'm going to install Putty on a laptop and try to work on it from another room. I'll post the XF86Config file when I get putty to work...

I got X to work after running XFree86 -configure, and tweaking XF86Config. Now I can't seem to get a decent color depth. I'm set to run 8bits on 800x600 but everything comes up damn near monochrome...

*EDIT*
If I remember correctly this box had Win2k on it and was running 800x600 @ 16 color...
